TOLEDO OH (8-18-08)--Frank Kimmel found himself surrounded by a group of eager young racers in the ARCA RE/MAX Series garage area at the Illinois State Fairgrounds on Sunday. Some, such as 2006 Allen Crowe 100 race winner Justin Allgaier and 2007 Springfield USAC Silver Crown winner Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., were dirt track experts in their own right. Others, such as current ARCA RE/MAX Series point leader and former Formula One driver Scott Speed, had never seen a dirt track before, let alone driven on one. Regardless of their backgrounds, ARCA RE/MAX Series drivers are smart to spend their pre-race strategizing with Kimmel.

SPRINGFIELD IL (8-17-08) - Nine-time ARCA RE/MAX Series champion Frank Kimmel cleaned up Sunday afternoon at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield where the Clarksville, Indiana driver ended a year-long winless streak with a victory in the 46th Allen Crowe 100.
SPRINGFIELD IL (8-17-08)--Frank Kimmel shattered the ARCA RE/MAX Series track record at the Illinois State Fairgrounds on Sunday, besting a track record set by Damon Lusk in 2006 by circling the 1-mile clay oval in 32.878 seconds for a speed of 109.496 mph. He starts on the pole for this afternoon's Allen Crowe 100 alongside Soddy Daisy, Tennessee's Ron Cox.
