Mid Season Grades: Scott Speed

speed.jpgTOLEDO OH (7-3-08)--Scott Speed's uncanny ability to accessorize his ARCA RE/MAX Series driving suit with colorful hats, oversized sunglasses, zebra print driving shoes and, oh yes, blue toe nail polish has gotten him plenty of notice in the ARCA RE/MAX Series garage area this year. But the former Formula One driver, who currently sits second in the ARCA RE/MAX Series point standings, has made his mark on the track as well.

Speed is one of eight 2008 series winners this year and has posted five top-5 and eight top-10 finishes this season. Most recently, he recovered from five laps down at Cayuga to finish the race on the lead lap, in eighth place. Scott Speed is the second featured driver in arcaracing.com's "Mid Season Report Cards", which recaps the 2008 performance of a different ARCA RE/MAX Series driver and team each day, focusing on the top-15 championship point contenders.

Mid Season Grades: Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.

stenhouse.jpgTOLEDO OH (7-2-08)--The ARCA 200 at Daytona marked Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.'s career first start in a stock car auto race but the former USAC driver has not let a lack of experience in full bodied stock cars stop him from making a serious charge at the ARCA RE/MAX Series championship.

In fact, he currently leads the 2008 standings and has posted two wins, six top-5's and eight top-10's this season. By virtue of his points lead, Stenhouse is the first featured driver in arcaracing.com's "Mid Season Report Cards", which recaps the 2008 performance of a different ARCA RE/MAX Series driver and team each day, focusing on the top-15 championship point contenders.
